The Art Institute of Chicago is one of the oldest and largest art schools in America.
Founded in 1879, it host over 1 million visitors every year and is located right along Grant Park.
The museum has works of art that span the globe, and is home to over 300,000 pieces of original artwork.
The museum itself separates its works of art in 11 collections including photography, different areas of the world and their art, and even textiles.
The Art Institute also features the Ryerson & Burnham Library on the ground floor, which hosts various types of timeless art. It's better known though for its amazing architecture.
Although the museum's collection seems huge, the number doesn't even include artwork for the special exhibitions they hold; upwards of 30 events each year.
