Pacific, Missouri

The Red Cedar Inn was a popular restaurant that was open until 2005, and built way back in the 30s. However, once the restaurant closed, it was turned over on the historical list and was protected. Although you can’t go inside of the restaurant as it is still closed, you can stop by and observe the outside. Something very interesting about this building is that the bricks that were used to make the building actually came from local mining materials. This is still a popular tourist spot, because of the history it holds and the towns overall history with mining and route 66.
