Halltown is a great small town to visit in Missouri while traveling on Route 66. As of a few years ago, only 200 people or less still live in the town today. The name of the town came from the family who founded it, the Halls. It is a cute town to visit, make sure to stop by the post office which has been around since the 1870s. The town itself is only 0.21 square miles, so it will not be a long stop for you. However, the town itself holds a quiet and peaceful stop to make, and all of the people are always welcome to stop and speak to visitors.
