The Jasper County Courthouse Route 66 Museum can be found in Carthage, Missouri. The tower itself is beautiful, and definitely a sight you don’t want to miss. This courthouse explains a lot of history about the civil war, as it is in a civil war town. If you go inside, you have to go to the third floor. This is where you will find murals painted only by local artist. Every mural on the third floor tells a story from the Civil War and will give you a great visual about how the war happened, even in this town.
