The Palo Duro Canyon State Park is one of the more naturally beautiful stops along route 66. Located in Texas, it includes 29,000 acres of the Palo Duro Canyon. They have activities they offer such as hiking and biking, and you can even rent a table if you’d like to stop and enjoy a picnic lunch. Bring your tent along and go camping for the night, or rent a cabin they have if tents are not your style. They also have a center on site where you can learn all about the different rocks that are located in the canyon, and grab a gift from the gift shop on your way out!
