The Route 66 Interpretive Center has a different meaning to teaching history, and that is through a great videos in the most comfortable situations. Inside the giant brick building, it is full of exhibits such as old artifacts that match certain video exhibits you have just watched. So after reclining in your seat, or sometime even lounging on a vintage hotel bed, you can learn about the history of route 66 in Oklahoma and then see the artifacts to match. At the beginning, you have the option to watch a movie about a man who traveled route 66, and then traveled the same road 40 years later. This helps you get a visual perspective of how much things can change over time.
