Tulsa, Oklahoma

The Route 66 Village is a great place to stop if you have ever wanted to travel back in time, or at least feel like you have for an afternoon. There is a ton of history to see in this place, like the first oil strike that turned Tulsa into the “Oil Capitol”. Also, there is an old Frisco 4500 steam engine that has been fully restored and looks brand new. There is also a lot of history about Route 66 itself, and they have some awesome memorabilia to commemorate it. They do stress a lot about the oil industry, as well as trains, simply because it became such a large amount of income in that area.
